Dear Editor,
I think that kids should definitely be able to celebrate Valentines Day. It makes kids use their kindness to make cards that say encouraging things. It is also really fun to make the boxes and have creative ideas on them. I love the moment when everyone dumps out what they got. They have a look of pure happiness and joy. On Valentines Day I like to bond with my brother and share what we got and sometimes we even trade. I think very strongly that they should allow schools to celebrate Valentines Day. Thank you for understanding the importance and encouragement of Valentines Day. I really recommend you continue it and keep the tradition going.

Sincerely,
Abigail

The doctor walked in for my brother's checkup. He looked happy and cheerful like always. We both greeted him and shook his hand. He checked everything for my brother like usual. When he finished he looked at my dad kind of funny. He said,"Drew today we are going to have your flu shot!"
My brother thought for a second then with a show of great disappointment said, "Your not going to believe this but, I can't get a flu shot today."
Dad said, "Why? This is the day you have to get it because the flu is going around."
Drew answered, "Well, today I have lots of sports and I will be really sore so I can't. I have to play basketball and because I am the best player on my team they have to play me the whole time! I also have to swim in a swim meet and since I'm going to be the only one their from our team I have to swim 300 laps to fill in for everyone else! At 2:00 I have twenty baseball games because I have to pitch for every team! So that's why I can't get a flu shot!"

I wish there were a law that said that everyone got at least one dream come true in their life. This would be a good law because everyone would have an opportunity to be happy. This dream would have to be realistic because someone was going to make it come true. When you are choosing your dream you have to pick carefully because only ONE dream is guaranteed to come true. Sometimes people are lucky and have multiple dreams, but some people can't make that happen so they stick to one. Being one of the people that make peoples dreams come true would be astonishing! Amazingly everyone has a dream that can come true.

This year I want to be more confident. I chose this revolution because it can support me and help me in many places. It could be used during a test or before an athletic challenge. I am going to work toward this revolution by taking what confidence I already have and making myself work harder when it is needed. I will focus on what I am doing, so that I can work on confidence at that point. I hope this word may guide me and lead me through the months to come.

Bundle up this holiday season with a spark of color. Be festive in a reversible red and green sweatshirt. After you get in from playing in the snow, put on this thick cotton sweatshirt. Snuggle up with your family and gaze at the beauty of the holiday season.

Dear Meredith,

How are you? I have not seen you in a long time. The last time I saw you I was seven years old and the flower girl at your wedding. I had a great night eating dinner and taking pictures at the Deacon Tower for the reception. I am glad you moved back to North Carolina from New Jersey. I am excited to see you and your kids.
I was thinking about all the great things you've done for me and I want to thank you for them. Thank you for being my babysitter and putting up with me when I had crazy hissy fits. Thank you for giving me baths and tucking me into my crib. I always had fun with you on the nights my parents weren't home and you read stories to me in my crib and bed. I loved how you always played games with me and made me happy. Thank you for taking me to the historic basketball game when Wake Forest was ranked number one in the country. I am glad I got to have all these amazing experiences with you!

Hope to see you soon,Abigail

I feel bullied when people don't stop when I ask them to. This makes me annoyed and angered. Lots of times it's best to ignore them and walk away. I see people teasing for fun but they actually are bullying. When that happens I walk over and try to change the subject. In fifth grade or in any grade poking people has been surveyed, the kids think that that is the way kids get bullied most. It happens all the time in the classroom but the people who do it aren't trying to be bullies their just playing around. I think bullying is bad and we should work to stop it.

Dear Nucleus,
Just for the record we have the worst cell wall. He's letting in all the bacteria and keeping out all the sunlight. As the cell membrane I am recommending that you build a new wall because I am getting sick. My sickness is making the cytoplasm hot and soon it will get to you. I don't want you to be sick because then since you are the "heart" of the cell, soon the whole Plant Cell will become queasy. After that the whole plant will be nauseated by it all and could possibly die. That is why I am trying to make you aware that there are trillions of us cells and if something starts it's going to get around. To be cautious, if you don't mind, build a new cell wall!
